Health & Safety

Health & Safety

Our first priority is the safety of our employees, subcontractors / suppliers, clients and everyone on the jobsite.  ROMAG places high emphasis on health and safety measures and has been awarded the Distinguished Achievement in Health and Safety Award from the Ontario General Contractors Association numerous times.

A safety program involves much more than simply stating that “safety is important.”  Safety must be a core value of the organization – the fundamental belief that keeping employees safe from injury is a top priority.

ROMAG provides New Worker Training to all employees prior to their work beginning, which involves but not limited to:

  • Fall Protection
  • WHMIS
  • ROMAG Health and Safety Manual Policy and Procedure Training
  • Occupational Health and Safety Act Training.

The objective of the safety orientation program is to provide all project personnel with consistent Health & Safety information, education and sufficient training, to allow them to develop and acquire the knowledge and awareness to protect themselves and others from injury.

Our on staff Safety Coordinator continues to ensure that all certificates (First Aid, WHMIS, Fall Arrest etc.) are current and up to date. They also enroll, promote and encourage our staff to continue with the latest training techniques.

ROMAG takes a proactive approach to identifying hazards prior to performing work to reduce the risk of accident or injury on the project.

ROMAG is fully committed to providing a safe work environment for all personnel and the general public on their construction project at all times.
